Aşıklı Höyük

The first known village in Central Anatolia where hunter-gatherers became settled. Within the bounds of Kızılkaya village, 25 km south-east of Aksaray, its layers run from the semi-subterranean houses of the 9th millennium BC to the rectangular mud-brick buildings of the 8th, documenting the Pre-Pottery Neolithic.
