Teotihuacán

Teotihuacan, a sacred city whose name means ‘the place where the gods were created’, grew up between the 1st and 7th centuries AD about 50 km north-east of Mexico City. Its huge Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl follow a geometric and symbolic layout.
